(July 27, 1945 - January 28, 2016) 
Jetmore – Jerold R. Hillman, 70, passed away January 28, 2016 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.  

He was born July 27, 1945, in Great Bend, the son of Lyle and O. Maxine Croft Hillman. A lifetime area resident, he was retired from the United States Postal Service and he loved to golf and also enjoyed painting.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Cheyenne Hills Golf Course, all of Jetmore, The Jetmore and Dodge City Gun Clubs, American Trapshooting Association, was a lifetime member of the Kansas Amateur Trapshooting Association and was the 1995 State Trap Shooter Champion. He also served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. On June 1, 1966, he married Peggy Kline in Jetmore. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jay Hillman, Highland Ranch, Colorado and Jeff Hillman, Jetmore; two brothers, Steve Hillman, Phoenix, Arizona and Marc Hillman, Delores, Colorado; a sister, Patty Lawson, Tulsa, Oklahoma and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery with military graveside rites.
