John Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Myers

John Kenneth “Kenny” Myers, 66, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born May 28, 1945, at Dodge City to Roland and Anna Mary (Novack) Myers.
He was a sanitation foreman for the city of Dodge City and had been employed there for over 30 years, retiring in 2007.
He is survived by three stepsons, William Cody Huckins of Fitzgerald, Ga., and Robert and Tony Bennett; three brothers, Donald Myers and wife, Linda, of Liberal, Les Myers of Dodge City, and Mike Myers of Branson, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Grable of Branson and Shirley Keith of Dodge City; three step-grandchildren; and four great-step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Susan Thompson; two brothers-in-law, Donald Keith and Terry Lauber; and three uncles, John, Henry and Edward Novack.
A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery in Windthorst, with the Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding.
Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home from noon to 7 p.m. today.
