Judy Dilley

Judy Dilley, 59 , died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at her home in Dodge City. She was born March 10, 1945, to Clarence and Margaret 'Betty" (Kukns) Baker at Dodge City. She married Larry Dilley on June 8, 1968, at Dodge City. He survives.

She was a lifelong resident of Dodge City and graduated from Dodge City High School in 1963. She was a paraprofessional at Sunnyside School for 14 years, and was the first paraprofessional for the Migrant Program for extended kindergarden students and was awared The Golden Apple Award from the Board of Education. She recieved the Lifetime PTA Membership Award and served as president of the local PTA and room mother for Sunnyside School. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader and also as a Boy Scout den mother. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening and helping others.

Other survivors include one son, Travis Dilley Northglenn, Colo.;one daughter, Shawna Dilley, Brighton, Col.; and one sister Sandra Burke, Park City. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Swaim Funeral Home Dodge City, with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Prairie or to the Cancer Center of Kansas, both in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 Sixth Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801
